I have a break between classes in Paris, so we hop on the Metro, get off at École Militaire, and walk up the park to the Eiffel Tower.
Luckily we have sunny skies! It was supposed to be cloudy and rainy.
On my 6th trip to Paris, I'm reminded of all my previous selves that have visited Paris --
--a first time traveler to Europe at 16 on an EF tour,
--a nervous 19-year-old on my first solo trip,
--a determined blonde-haired girl tromping all over Paris in the freezing cold...in high heel boots,
-- a frustrated study abroad student escaping to Paris alone for Valentine's Day,
-- a peaceful 24-year-old celebrating my birthday in snowy Paris
This time, I'm 29, teaching English remotely and here with meu amor.
Which reminds me that every visit to a city is different because I'm different.
This is one of our only "tourist" expeditions in Paris. I'm usually running around like a chicken with it's head cut off trying to see everything, experience everything, do it all!
This time, I just wanted to relax and feel at home in Paris.
Our grand 4 days in Paris include: 1 visit to the Eiffel Tower in the brilliant sunshine, 1 night picnic to see the tower sparkle, a morning walk to Montmartre to see the Sacred Heart church and the view of Paris, and a walk along the Seine to take pictures in front of the Notre Dame.
Otherwise, we have been in cafes and restaurants, wandering just to wander, and of course...eating French pastries! ;)
And now for the fun pictures!!
Have you been to Paris? What did you love about it?
